PiPP@NORs: “New Generation of Environment-Friendly Halogen-free Flame Retardants with the combination of N-substituted alkoxy hindered amines”

The project deals with the design and development of a new generation flame retardant-pyrophosphate piperazine (PiPP) with the combination of N-substituted alkoxy hindered amines (NORs). In this work, NORs as radical trapping structure is introduced to PiPP molecule to increase its gas phase mechanism of flame retardancy by radical trapping effect. Furthermore, the thermal-oxidative stability will also be strengthened by that effect. As multifunctional flame retardant derivatives, the flame retardancy and other properties will be measured and the mechanism will be discussed.
