MFMS2018 The 5th International Conference on Multi-Functional Materials and Structures

The International Conference on Multi-Functional Materials and Structures (MFMS) is mainly focused on multi-functional materials and structures, including smart materials, composites, nanostructure and nanotechnology, advanced materials and bioengineering of materials as well as materials for specific applications.

MFMS has been held since 2008 and is becoming a prestigious international forum for scientists and engineers in the field of material science and engineering to exchange their technologies and academic achievements. Four MFMS conferences were previously held in different places: Hong Kong (China), Qingdao (China), Jeonju (Korea), Bangkok (Thailand).

7th Asia-Europe Symposium on Processing and Properties of Reinforced Polymers & Advances in Flame Retardancy of Polymeric Materials Workshop.

AESP7 is a prestigious and regular international forum for materials scientists and engineers in the field of polymers and polymer composites. Previous symposia were organized in Nancy, France (2004), Beijing, China (2005), Budapest, Hungary (2007), Guilin, China (2009), Dresden, Germany (2011) and Wuhan, China (2013). Following the excellent reputation and tradition of these previous activities, the seventh symposium will be held in Madrid, Spain on February 4-6th, 2015, organized by Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies of Materials (IMDEA Materials Institute), Spain, and coorganized by Cost Action MP1105.

Prof. Dr. De-Yi Wang was invited to take part as a panelist at the 17th AMI Fire Resistance in Plastics event in Cologne, Germany.

Prof. Wang formed part of a three-member panel to discuss the topic of E-mobility and the challenges and opportunities for the FR industry.

This topic is currently of particular importance given the urgent demands to improve fire safety in electrical vehicle batter systems, given the rapid growth of EV’s worldwide.
