The MNG Group at the 3rd International Workshop on Multifunctional Nanocarbon Fibers – Cambridge 2025

From September 11th to 13th, our group, MNG, attended the 3rd International Workshop on Multifunctional Nanocarbon Fibers held at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge.

It was an inspiring event that brought together researchers from around the world to discuss recent advances in nanocarbon science and multifunctional materials.

Our group contributed with several talks and posters:
David Tilve: Silicon nanowire lyotropic liquid crystal dispersion.
Ana Inés De Isidro Gómez: Fibers of carbon nanotube intercalation compounds: structure of acceptor intercalants and the prospect of replacing copper.
Kathryn Dale (Poster): Liquid crystal suspensions of silicon nanowires in water.
Felipe Lozano Steinmetz (Poster): 3D Global Orientation Modelling of Nanostructured Networks.

We were also proud to have Juan José Vilatela serving as a member of the Scientific Committee and Dr. David Tilve Martínez as part of the Local Organizing Committee.

A big thank you to the organizers and participants for such an engaging and collaborative atmosphere — it was a great opportunity to share our work and exchange ideas with the international nanomaterials community.
