We are proud to share that Dr. Soheila Ebrahimi-Koodehi participated in the international workshop “Advancing Energy Technologies with Advanced Carbon Materials,” held on August 20–21 at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany.

Co-organized by the Institute of Energy Technologies (IET-1) at Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) and the Institute of Advanced Composite Materials at KIST—with the support of the DFG and NRF—the workshop brought together experts to discuss cutting-edge carbon solutions for the energy transition.

Dr. Ebrahimi presented her work titled “Carbon Nanotube Fibers for Energy Storage: From Intercalation Science to Emerging Battery Applications”. Her presentation addressed the critical demand for lightweight, flexible materials in transport electrification. By applying intercalation strategies to lower junction resistance and boost carrier density in CNT fibers, the work demonstrates their promise as multifunctional, binder-free electrodes that simultaneously act as electronic conductors, mechanical scaffolds, current collectors, and ion-storage hosts.
