Great news from the 76th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), held in Mainz, Germany (7–12 September 2025).
Our team members Elena Sánchez-Ahijón and Rafael Tomey Prieto actively contributed to the event with exciting research presentations.
🔹 Rafael Tomey Prieto presented the poster “Investigating degradation mechanisms in 100% silicon nanowire anodes for lithium-ion batteries”, which was awarded Best Poster of the Conference. In addition, he showcased the work of our colleague Dr. Soheila Ebrahimi-Koodehi, titled “High Performance Thick Cathodes with CNT Conductive Networks for Next Generation Lithium-Ion Batteries.”
🔹 Elena Sánchez Ahijón presented “Pure Paper-like SiNWs Anode for Solid-State Lithium-Ion Batteries: Understanding Structural Changes Controlling Cyclability,” highlighting novel insights into anode design and performance.
We are proud of their outstanding contributions and the recognition received, which reflect the strength and excellence of our team’s research in advanced energy storage materials.
