Our Research Group at NT’26 in Berlin: Highlights and Breakthroughs

From August 23–28, our research group attended NT’26 (the 26th International Conference on the Science and Applications of Nanotubes and Low-Dimensional Materials) in Berlin to share our latest advancements in nanomaterials.

A major highlight was Dr. Juan José Vilatela’s plenary talk, “Intercalated CNT Fibres with Specific conductivity above metals.” He presented the future of conductive cables, showcasing carbon nanotube fibers with a specific electrical conductivity surpassing that of traditional copper.

We were also proudly represented in the oral sessions. Dr. Anastasiia Mikhalchan gave an invited talk on “Recyclable CNT Materials for multifunctional composite: from lab-bench to industrial prototypes,” while Dr. David Tilve Martínez Tilve Martinez presented his work on “Silicon nanowire lyotropic liquid crystal dispersion and self assembly into macroscopic oriented network.”

Finally, during the poster sessions, Ana Inés De Isidro Gómez presented “Intercalated carbon nanotubes fibres with high specific electrical conductivity,” and Felipe Lozano Steinmetz showcased “Quantifying Alignment in macroscopic nanonetworks.” Congratulations to the team for their outstanding contributions!
