IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking a Research Support Technician for battery materials processing and electrochemical testing. This position is supported by the Young Researchers Programme of the Community of Madrid (ESF+ / STEP).


Candidate Profile & Technical Requirements:
– Education: Higher Vocational Training (FP) or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
– Experience: Hands-on laboratory experience with electrochemical techniques (CV, LSV, EIS), battery cyclers, and cell assembly. Experience with gloveboxes and data analysis software (Excel, Origin) is highly valued.
– Languages: Fluent in English (the working language of the Institute).

Mandatory Legal Requirements (Strict Eligibility):
– Must be between 16 and 29 years old at the date of hiring.
– Must be registered as an unemployed job seeker within the Spanish National Employment System (SEPE) before hiring.
– No prior employment relationship with IMDEA Materials during the 6 months prior to hiring.
