IMDEA Materials Principal Investigador, Dr. Juan José Vilatela, recently joined a panel at the Carbon Hub at Rice University´s 5th Annual Meeting.
There, he discussed some of the most relevant scientific questions to materialise emission-free advanced materials. He also presented IMDEA Materials’ work on the use of carbon nanotubes in batteries and in making 100% recyclable composites.
On the third day of the event, Dr. Vilatela took part in a focus session sponsored by the Kavli Foundation as part of international project of research laboratories studying synthesis of high-added-value materials from methane pyrolysis.
The Carbon Hub initiative aims to advance industrial decarbonisation, electrification, and hydrogen production by transforming hydrocarbons into sustainable materials that house, move, clothe, power, and feed people.
