SAFE2026 International Symposium on Advanced Functional Polymers and Flame-Retardant Materials successfully concluded!
August 13, 2026It is our great pleasure to announce the successful conclusion of the 1st International Symposium on Advanced Functional Polymers and Flame-Retardant Materials (SAFE2026), which was held from 27–30 July 2026 at the historic Smolenice Castle in Slovakia.
Organized by the Association of China-Spain for Science and Technology (ACSST), SAFE2026 brought together researchers and experts working on advanced functional polymers, sustainable materials, flame-retardant technologies, polymer composites, thermal and fire safety, and related emerging fields. The three-day symposium featured keynote lectures, invited talks, oral presentations, poster presentations, and valuable opportunities for scientific exchange and collaboration.
We sincerely thank all invited speakers, presenters, participants, organizers, sponsors, and volunteers for their contributions to the success of SAFE2026. Special thanks go to Prof. Dr. De-Yi Wang, Conference Chair, and Prof. Dr. Ivan Chodak, Chair of the Local Organizing Committee, for their leadership and support.
The conference programme also included a welcome dinner, a visit to Driny Cave, and a gala banquet, providing participants with memorable opportunities to exchange ideas and build new connections in a friendly atmosphere.
