Biography

Yunfu Ou is originally from Hunan, the Southern part of China with amazingly natural scenery and variously delicious snacks. He completed his bachelor study in China Agricultural University (Beijing), majored in Agricultural Structure Environment and Energy Engineering. Thereafter, he completed the degree of Master of Science in Hunan University, and focused on multi-scale analysis on fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP). During that time, He did a lot of experiments in order to gain a deep insight into the failure mechanisms of FRP under different strain rates and temperatures. Scale structures of research object involved filament, yarn, textile and FRP sheet. Various high strength fibers including aramid (Kevlar 29 and 49),carbon, basalt and glass fibers were selected as reinforced materials. In October 2016 he joined the Multifunctional Nanocomposites group at IMDEA Materials Institute as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher, and mainly concentrated on CNT fiber/polymer composites, particularly in evaluating their mechanical behavior and multifunctional properties.
