Biography

Richard Santiago Schäufele holds a Master degree in Nano-Science from the Eberhard Karls University, Tübingen, where he specialized in ultra-small-angle x-ray spectroscopy (USAXS). For his final research project he investigated the kinetics of liquid-liquid phase separation in protein solutions by USAXS which included experiments at the renowned European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble, France. Furthermore, during his studies he spent one year abroad as an exchange student at Oregon State University, USA.In January 2018 he joined the Multifunctional Nanocomposites Group at IMDEA Materials as a predoctoral researcher, where he works on the synthesis of nanostructures.
